Weekly Challenge #56: Teachers Rock Challenge!

The Challenge: Create a project of your choice using primary colors. Enhance your Cricut cuts using chalk
My first grader has loved his teacher since day one of the school year. He is always wanting to take her something.
So with this challenge being for teacher I though while not ask my little guy to help. I have all kinds of different container in my craft room. I asked him to choose one. Then I asked him what cart he wanted to use.( That took a long time for him to choose). He seen the pitcher of this box and said that is what he wanted to make her. I seen that it was the primary color and I said OK let make it. I think he did a great job putting it together. Mommy Love you little guy!
Here is a side view of the box. It show the 3d look. And the chalking that we did is kind hard to see. But we chalked the flowers with blue, and the inside of the flower with gold. we also chalked the the message cloud this gold. I really enjoyed making this box with my little guy for his teacher.

I made these rose for my Sister in laws bedside table.
She went in for a same day  surgery  about the first week of April and has been in their every since And has had 11 more surgery  since. She is in ICU so she can't have real flowers. So I made here these roses.

Here are the greens of the roses. I cut them out a 5inches just got they covered a little bit more of the bottom of the roses. I also inked them with dark green ink.
Here is how I put the greener part of the roses together. I used a ever small wooded stick and from green wire. I hot glued them on. that way it would hold it altogether. work out every nice
The roses petal I cut out at 4 inches and ink with black ink. i use a hair clip to hold while the glue dried.
Hope you enjoyed  looking at my blog! have a nice day

Daddys Homecoming outfit

I wanted it to be special for her. This was her first time meeting her Daddy.

We found out that we where expecting about a month after Kevin left for Iraq.

It was a long 8 months. Why I say 8 months.
Well on Feb 26 I was playing Hunter and Tracer. I went to throw Hunter on my bed and my water broke. I when to the hospital at 1pm and had her at 5pm. I tried to get a hold of Kevin. But that didn't happen as we had a storm here and they had one there so Skype didn't work. He found out that we had a baby GIRL three hours after the fact. But that was ok cause she was healthy.

div>Sammantha would be almost three month old when she meets her Daddy. And of all place it will be in a a Airport hanger.
